2003 Formula One

Scoring system

Entrants must fill in the entry form in an attempt to score most points.

On the entry form, entrant predict which driver they think will become champion driver. Entrants then predict which driver will be the runners up. Complete the entry form, stongest to weakest so that each driver is in a position and each position has a different driver.

Each driver and entrant starts with zero, on 03.09.03.
An entrant's score is the sum of each driver's points multiplied by the entrant's rating of the driver.
If driver A wins a race, then driver A score 10 points.
Entrants rating driver A as their top driver score 20 times driver A's score. ie 200 points per win.
Entrants rating driver A as 2nd best score 19 times driver A's score. ie 190 points per victory.
Entrants rating driver A in any other position score points as per the multiplication factos

How the drivers accrue points
Each driver scores 10 points per victory.
Each driver scores 6 points per 2nd place.
Each driver scores 4 points per 3rd place.
Each driver scores 3 points per 4th place.
Each driver scores 2 points per 5th place.
Each driver scores 1 points per 6th place.
As per official race rulings.
The game scores will be amended should official amendments apply

FF also award 1 additional point per race to each driver that finishes any race

Bonus Points
There are 15 opportunities to pick up bonus points.
Entrants will be emailed an invitation to answer these bonus questions, at least 48 hours in advance of the race.
Bonus questions will hold varying amounts of points based on difficulty and the stage of the season they are posed.

FF compare the actual result of the bonus question with your prediction.
Every time that one of your predictions is correct (the answer exactly matches the actual result of the question posed), you collect the points awarded for that bonus question.
The winner of the 1st prize is the entrant whose total points is greatest. It is not necessary to get a 100% correct solution.

The tiebreak will only be used if two or more entries are tied for any prize.

Entries cannot be changed after the database has accepted predictions.
