Scoring System
Before 8.2.03, each entrant must fill in the entry form
in an attempt to correctly predict the outcome of questions posed.
Entrants must fill in the entry form in an attempt to score most points.
On the entry form, the 1st question, entrants
predict which nation they think would gain most FF points by winning the World Cup.
Entrants then predict which nation will be the runners up.
Complete the entry form, stongest to weakest
so that each nation is in a position and each position has a nation.
Each player and nation starts with zero, on 8.2.03.
Entrants must fill in the entry form in an attempt to score most points.
An entrant's score is the sum of each nation's
points multiplied by the entrant's rating of the nation.
If nation A scores wins a match during the Group stage, then nation A scores 10 points.
Entrants rating nation A as the best nation receive
14 times nation A's score. ie 14 x 10 = 140 points per victory.
Entrants rating nation A as 2nd best score only 13 times nation A's score. ie 130
points per victory.
Entrants rating nation A in any other position score points as per the multiplication
table
How the nations accrue points
Nations gain 10 points for each pool stage victory
Nations gain 5 points for each tied match during the pool stage
The top nation in each pool gains an additional 25 points
Each of the other nations that qualify for the Super 6 stage, gain 10 points
Nations gain 50 points for each Super 6 stage victory
Nations gain 25 points for each tied match during the Super 6 stage
Nations reaching the Semi-Finals each gain 100 points
Nations reaching the final gain 250 points
The World Cup winning Nation gains 500 points
Bonus Points
There will be opportunities to pick up bonus points throughout the period covered by the game.
Entrants will be emailed an invitation to answer bonus questions, at least 24 hours in
advance.
Each question will be about the cricket, and worth varying points, dependent on difficulty.
FF compare the actual result with your prediction.
Every time that one of your predictions is correct (the answer exactly matches the actual result of the question posed),
you collect the points awarded for that bonus question.
The winner of the 1st prize is the entrant
whose total points is greatest. It is not necessary to get a 100% correct
solution.
The tiebreak will only be used if two
or more entries are tied for any prize. The tie break will based on
the next major cricket tournament, and will be set when a tiebreak is needed.
Grand Total
The sum of your score and bonus scores
Bonus questions do not need to be answered
to win the prizes. Bonus questions answer boxes will shut according to the
times published at the time of posing. No additional charge is made to play.
Each bonus question will have a correct answer. Points will be awarded as
per the rules of the bonus question.
